Yes, Fleming described certain instances of love making in a rather juicy way, but the film medium would use images instead of words, and that might have submitted the films to harsher age restrictions.
Personally, I can easily do without graphic sex in my Bonds. But, as correctly points out, they probably would have had to 'clean up' their affairs in more recent times. If the first Bond film had been made in the '70s, there's a small chance the series would have included more graphic sex scenes, or at least more explicit nudity.
